New Poll Shows San Mateo County Supervisor David Canepa Leading In California’s 15th Congressional District
Canepa Who Leads In Fundraising & Labor Support Continues To Build Momentum
Redwood City, CA – New polling data of likely June 2022 primary voters released today shows San Mateo County Supervisor David Canepa leading the field of candidates vying for California’s open 15th Congressional seat. The news comes on the heels of fundraising reports showing Canepa leading in fundraising despite being the only candidate refusing to accept contributions from corporate special interests.
The poll, conducted by Tulchin Research, shows Canepa continuing to build momentum days after AFCSME Local 829 endorsed his campaign, joining UFCW and scores of local leaders.

Canepa, continues to defy the odds against the powerful Sacramento Assembly Pro Tempore Kevin Mullin. Mullin, who hails from a distinguished political dynasty and recently lent his campaign $60,000 of his own family’s money, is facing a FEC complaint for allegedly spending corporate money illegally in the congressional race.
Canepa, a fourth-generation son of San Mateo County of Mexican and Italian heritage, led San Mateo County through the COVID-19 pandemic. He announced his candidacy on November 20th at Seton Medical Center in Daly City. Canepa, the former Mayor of Daly City, was born at the hospital and led the county’s effort to save it from bankruptcy just prior to the pandemic.
