On August 17th, Ben Tulchin, President of Tulchin Research, participated in Digital Politics Radio with Lane Kasselman, Executive Director of CALinnovates.org, to present the findings of our poll that dealt with Californians’ use of social media to engage in politics.
Among other conclusions from the poll, Ben discussed:
- The fact that the best way to reach out to voters under 40 in California is through Facebook, not by cable television or by phone;
- That one out of five voters use smartphones to get and share political information. They are becoming an extremely important voting demographic on which campaigns must focus to win.
