David joined Tulchin Research in early 2016 after almost a decade of organizing and consulting experience. He began in politics interning as an Obama for America Fellow building the person-to-person voter contact network that turned Indiana from red-to-blue for the first time in 40 years in 2008. He then returned and completed his B.A. in History at University of California, Santa Barbara while organizing students part-time for Newsom for California. After graduating college, David joined the Feldman Group in Washington D.C. where he worked within a small team providing survey research, online ad testing and strategic advice to elect Democratic candidates. This team in 2012 helped guide the successful campaigns of Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Gov. Jay Inslee (D-OR), Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) and independent expenditures for the Democratic Governors Association and the Senate Majority PAC. When David returned to California in 2013, he joined the political tech start-up Organizer, Inc. where he focused on client acquisition and project management. His hands-on support was instrumental in advancing voter contact operations with mobile app technology especially for the Grassroots for Florida IE and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). In his spare time, David enjoys visiting all 50 states in the U.S. and following the San Francisco Giants.
