Ash joined Tulchin Research in May 2018. During her time at Tulchin Research, she has worked for Democratic Caucus programs in California and Illinois during the midterm elections, helping to secure Democratic supermajorities in both state legislatures. She has also worked on several Congressional races, including for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, as well as on projects for MoveOn, WaterNow, Defenders of Wildlife, Southern Poverty Law Center, and other environmental, labor and civil rights organizations.
Prior to Tulchin Research, Ash worked as a researcher for three years at MapLight, a nonprofit in Berkeley that seeks to expose the influence of money on politics through research and reporting and advocates for campaign finance reform. Ash graduated from Brown University, where she majored in political science and gender studies. She has interned and volunteered with a number of progressive organizations and campaigns, including Equality California, Amnesty International, Planned Parenthood, the Clean Money Campaign, Obama for America, and Rhode Islanders United for Marriage. Ash is originally from Boston and lives in Oakland.
